The original Japanese cut runs for 60 mins and includes footage of graphic sexual violence involving minors. This release loses 15 minutes of footage.
At 5:36 Sawa tells Akai she's not in the mood. In the original, Akai forces her and this scene has been cut. During Sawa's flashback sequence (from 15:15) showing her parent's murder and her relationship with Akai, footage showing an underage Sawa being molested by Akai has been removed. Another scene showing Akai having sex with a different underaged girl and the same girl fellating Kanie, incorporating graphic nudity, has also been cut.
The cut version implies that Akai forces Oburi to watch him rape Sawa. This scene is depicted graphically in the original. And finally, a shot of a couple having sex in an office as Sawa and the bodyguard fall from the building has been cut. As far as I can tell, non-sexual violence remains intact.
Madman's release runs 47:19, suggesting that our release has a little extra footage compared to the US censored release. I have not been able to determine what footage we have gained, but will add information here as it becomes available.
A Director's Cut is available in the US and Japan, restoring all of the missing scenes, but trimming some more graphic images.
