The death scenes from this film were extensively trimmed, sometimes to the point that they did not make sense. This censoring includes:
- Lessening of gore in the credits sequence where the blonde is impaled on a pickaxe;
- The reduction of screen time that was given to Mabel's mutilated body after it falls out of the spin dryer;
- The scene where the bartender is killed is dramatically censored. The pickaxe originally goes through his chin and then out his eye. The axe is then shoved through his guts so that he can be dragged along the ground;
- When Dave has his face boiled, the aftermath of the attack, featuring the burns all over his face while he is dying, has been cut;
- The scene where Sylvia is impaled on the shower head is completely cut;
- A close up of Hollis's face after he has been nail-gunned is removed;
- When Howard is hanged, the wire wrapped around his neck actually decapitates him, so that his body falls all the way down. The decapitation sequence is cut so that it looks like Howard falls, sprays blood all over Sarah and Patty, and then keeps falling to the bottom of the shaft.
- The scene where Axel rips off his left arm to get away after it is caught in the rockslide is removed.
