Censuring The Censors

Happy Times (Xingfu Shiguang) (2001)

Allowing for PAL speed-up, the Region 4 release is about 7.5 minutes shorter than the US Region 1 release. It appears to be the same length as the censored Region 3 release. The missing footage apparently involves young people going to the Happy Times Hut to have sex, which was deemed unacceptable to the Chinese censors. It appears therefore that we have a censored version in Region 4.
