In season 2003 the Brisbane Lions claimed their third successive premiership, and they did it with all the class and flair that we've come to expect. This Brisbane Lions team may be star-studded with three Brownlow medallists but it's the contributions from the entire playing list that enabled them to become the greatest team of the modern era. If anyone can truly appreciate the highs and lows of football it is defender Chris Johnson, the lone survivor of the chosen eight from Fitzroy who relocated to Brisbane in 1997. Johnson reflects on how the Lions dealt with the "3-peat" expectations and gives us an insight into how it was ultimately achieved.
