Distraught over his feelings for Mizuho, Kei has slipped into another 'standstill'. In the depths of his mind, Kei meets a phantom from his past with whom he discusses the joys and sorrows of life. Back aboard her spaceship, Mizuho pleads with Kei to wake up while recounting all the experiences they've shared. In order to save Kei, Mizuho must break the Galaxy Federation rules and enter Kei's mind to convince him that without misfortune, one can't truly appreciate happiness. Kei awakes from his 'standstill' but his and everyone else's memories of Mizuho have been erased. How can Kei move forward with his normal high school life when he's missing a piece of his heart?
