Howard Brackett (Kevin Kline, A Fish Called Wanda) was neat, poetic and clean. As far as the world was concerned, it could only mean one thing. One of his former students Matt Dillon (To Die For, Drugstore Cowboy) became a Hollywood superstar and clumsily called Howard's sexuality into question - in front of millions of viewers on the Academy Awards telecast, no less. Instantly Howard's life in the sleepy town of Greenleaf, Indiana is turned inside out. His students are astonished. Is it really true? Impossible, he's about to be married. But then again, he is neat, thin, teaches drama class and loves those Barbra Streisand records... As Howard and his devoted bride-to-be Joan Cusack, (Addams Family Values), try to comprehend what's going on, a hungry media pack descends on Greenleaf, Indiana, in a feeding-frenzy spear-headed by a slick and aggressive TV reporter Tom Sellick, (Three Men And A Baby), who is determined to move in for the kill and get the hapless Howard to finally come out.
