Frank Pesce is the luckiest man alive in spite of his bad luck.

Set in the closely-knit Italian-American neighbourhood, "29th Street" is the story of a man blessed with extraordinary luck and how this blessing becomes a curse.

After using his luck to launch himself as an ace card shark, he lands himself a jackpot of $6 million dollars, as he becomes the first New York Lottery Winner. When it comes time to collect his new fortune, Frank must make the most difficult choice of his life.

Based on a true story this is a moving portrait about family, love and that little thing called luck!
