A legendary figure in Japan is Zatoichi - the blind masseur with healing hands and a swift sword.

With a price on his head, Ichi seeks refuge in a favourite village. Ichi finds that the corrupt Boss Masagoro, suspected of stealing gold from the Shogunate, has taken control of the village and hired a hard drinking Yojimbo as his enforcer. Not all is as it seems as the gruff Yojimbo is actually a spy for the Shogunate attempting to find the missing gold. Soon Ichi uncovers an interesting secret and the stage is set for the final confrontation.
