Australian cinematographer Ray Argall made his directorial debut with this beguiling story about a man who makes a long overdue visit to his hometown.Noel (Dennis Coard) a successful insurance broker in Melbourne, returns home to seaside Adelaide to stay with his brother Steve (Frankie J Holden), a mechanic running the family garage. As they struggle to reconcile the "She'll be right" attitude with the "She won't be right" economic climate, Noel strikes up a close friendship with Steve's prize mechanic Gary (Ben Mendelsohn in a standout performance), an awkward teenager having problems at work and with girlfriend Wendy (Rachel Rains). Torn between the charm of his home town and the allure of the big city, Noel must now decide where his future lies. Featuring a great soundtrack by Joe Camilleri (The Black Sorrows), The Celibate Rifles, TISM, Young Modern and Bored.
