Set in the final, dying days of French colonial rule in Indochina, this epic, Academy-Award winning period drama stars Catherine Deneuve (Repulsion, The Last Metro) as a rubber baroness caught in a love triangle between her daughter and a dashing naval officer.With the flames of revolution gathering around her, the beautiful Eliane (Deneuve) stubbornly presides over the last remnants of French rule in the Orient.
