This cinematic valentine to the great Federico Fellini features clips from his greatest films, and reminisces about il dirretoro from Fellini’s collaborators and biggest fans, including Anthony Quinn, discussing La Strada, Claudia Cardinale on 8 1/2 and the delicacy of Fellini’s touch as a director, and Anita Ekberg on La Dolce Vita: "I said to my agent, "This man is crazy!’" Filmmaker Carmen Piccini explores Fellini's dreams and creative visions, his doubts and confusion and, most importantly, his relationships with the visionaries who created Italian Cinema. On hand are many of the menbers of Fellini's production team, including Producer Dino De Laurentiis, and Lina Wertmuller, once Fellini's assistant prior to her own directing career. There are celebrations, too, of Marcello Mastroianni, Fellini's favourite leading man; of Giuletta Massina, both as a marvelous actress and as Signora Fellini; and of Nino Rota, whose music is inextricable from Fellini's pictures. This joyous homage to Fellini winds up with key figures on whom he had a tremendous professional influence, including Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen and Roberto Benigni.
