Now 20 years old and with the world at war, Deanna Durbin was given her first adult part by Universal in this bright romantic comedy. As Jan "Pinky" Dana, the blossoming daughter of high school principal Robert Benchley, she sets her sights on sophisticated Franchot Tone, while still having the boy-next-door, Robert Stack, in the wings. Also joining in the fun is 1940 Best Supporting Actor Oscar winner Walter Brennan ("The Westerner").
