This cult comedy classic follows a couple of destitute young actors living in drunken squalor in 1969, the twilight days of the swingin' London. The elegantly wasted Withnail (the astounding Richard E. Grant in a breakout performance) is a depraved dandy without money or ambition, while his anxious sidekick is the younger and more impressionable Marwood (Paul McGann). The demented duo drown their minds in booze and pills until finally escaping to the country, staying in the home of wealthy, lecherous Uncle Monty, who later takes a liking to young Marwood! But this retreat fast turns into a miserable nightmare as violent weather, hunger and hostile locals bring on more madness.

Presented in a Special Two Disc Edition, this British comic milestone comes in a new widescreen print, and with a cacophony of special features.
