The Ealing film that begs to differ World-renowned as the first of Ealing Studios' famous Comedies, Hue and Cry is a hilarious and exhilarating boys' own adventure, made amongst the rubble of a London devastated by World War II. Joe Kirby is courageous, imaginative and craves the type of excitement he reads about in the pages of his favourite comic serial, The Trump. To his surprise and delight, he soon discovers that a criminal mastermind has been using The Trump as a means to communicate instructions to his gang of thieves. Together with his posse of rambunctious mates, Joe tracks down the crooks—but he's not letting them off without a fight!
