Nerdy Eamonn is 24, lives with his Ma and works at a Belfast dating agency called Amore: Your love is our affair. Unfortunately, Eamonn (Marshall) is hopeless at finding the perfect match for himself and spends lonely nights dreaming of superhero adventures and a girl he's too scared to approach. But after a chance encounter with local good-time girl Mary (O'Neill), Eamonn discovers he's got the highest sperm count in Ireland and his output could boost the nation's plummeting Catholic male fertility rate. Meanwhile, Protestant hardman Mad Dog Billy Wilson (Nesbit, of Cold Feet) is outraged that Eamonn might be increasing the number of Catholics in the city, and sets out to snip him - one way or another. With a stirring soundtrack including tracks by the Waterboys, Mary Black, Edison Lighthouse and the Propellerheads, Most Fertile is irreverent, politically incorrect hilarious comedy that's more eggs than ego. A must for fans of Waking Ned Devine.
