Bride of Frankenstein (1935) continued on the freakish tale of Frankenstein's monster, chronicling his humanization and search for a mate. Recovering from an attack by his original creation, Frankenstein is visited by his old university professor, Dr Pretorius, who wants him to create a companion for the monster that is now roaming free terrorising the countryside. When Pretorius kidnaps Frankenstein's bride Elizabeth, he has no choice but to bow to his fiendish plans and once again create life from death. Often regarded as superior to the original classic, this film is a masterpiece of horror cinema.
