The Business of Strangers is a tightly drawn thriller about a successful business woman locked in a game of power and control.
On a Layover between business trips, Julie Styron gets a call on her mobile phone that her boss is flying in to have an unexpected meeting. She immediately fears that she is going to be fired.
Later that evening, trapped in an airport hotel, Julie wants to let off steam but finds only the company of her young temp assistant, Paula Murphy, who she's just fired.
As the night progresses, the two women get to know each other - they flirt, they drink, they lie, personal flaws are revealed and exposed. By the end of the night their relationship turns and becomes a complex battle of power, authority and wit.
When they encounter an unsuspecting businessman, who Paula recognises as the man who raped her girlfriend four years ago, their night takes a dangerous and unexpected turn. Sodden with alcohol the two women decide to take their revenge.
