Up until now Wurley High has had its usual array of high school types - the jocks, the nerds, the popular people and the not so popular people. What the teachers and students at Wurley High don't realise is that they have another type of student - the psychopathic killer!
First Colleen and Gary go missing, then art teacher Mr. Quint disappears with his furnace still on and Mrs. Knocht is found dead in the photocopy room. Everyone instantly suspects Brian Woods (Donovan Leitch), the new guy who has just been released from the mental hospital but Dwight (Brad Pitt) has been acting strange lately - getting into drunken rages and being rude to his teachers lately. Even Dwight's girlfriend, Paula (Jill Schoelen) is afraid of him.
