There is a story that until now has remained untold, yet it is perhaps the first and most important story of mankind. It is part adventure, part mystery and part detective story. It goes to the heart of every one of us; for it is the story of the ancestors of us all. Under our skin, we are all African! We are all related, indeed most likely from the one tribe or family.
The Human Journey is the story of that most momentus migration - the first human colonisation of the Earth. The story of small ancient people setting off across strange lands and treacherous oceans towards the unknown. There are few clues to light the way, but a recent archealogical find has shaken the scientific community to its core and makes this story even more compelling. To get inside The Human Journey, we must recreate the world as it was from 200,000 BC.
A wild and untamed place where no borders existed. Where Ice Ages came and went, sea levels rose and fell and temperatures fluctated accordingly.
The Human Journey exodus was a global endeavour that took these people over every conceivable obstacle thrown up by nature. Rivers, deserts, oceans, mountains, forests, ice and snow, fierce predators and most of all sheer distance.
Exploring how we overcame these hurdles in so few millennia, The Human Journey is a testimony to our human resilience and resourcefulness.
