This is the story of two young women who astounded the world with their rapid rise from the asphalt jungle of Compton, CA to international celebrity as the greatest sister act in the history of athletic competition.Even before they were born, Richard Williams knew that his next two children would be tennis champions. What he may not have known was that they would be on top of the world before they reached the age of 20! Their training began in 1985, coached by father Richard, who even took on Compton street gangs so that his daughters could use the neighborhood tennis court. Both went professional at age 14, and the rest is sports history. But there is more to life than tennis, as Venus and Serena could certainly testify. The Williams Sisters discuss their family life, education, career goals, social lives, and their faith. These are the Williams Sisters known only to the people closest to them, seen for the first time through candid interviews and home video dating back to their early childhood, showing what it takes to be champions both on and off the court.
