Two men, Benigno and Marco, sit next to each other in a theatre, by chance. Months later, they meet at a private clinic where Benigno works as sole carer to Alicia, a young ballet student in a coma. Marco's girlfriend, Lydia, a bullfighter by profession, has been gored and is also in a coma.

It is the start of an intense friendship between the two men as they care for the women they love. During this period of suspended time between the walls of the clinic, the lives of the four characters will flow in all directions, past, present and future, leading them towards an unsuspected destiny.

With the inclusion of an extremely memorable film within a film entitled The Shrinking Lover, which Almodovar utilises to sensuously illustrate his storytelling, he has again employed art and performance to play a large part with appearances by renowned musician Caetano Veloso as well as a pivotal performance by dancer Pina Bausch.

Talk To Her is about loyalty, about loneliness and the long convalescence of the wounds provoked by passion.
