This box set consists of the following DVDs;
Whales (NTSC) (1997) , Search for the Great Sharks (1993) , The Great Barrier Reef (NTSC) (1981)

When it comes to under the water, the Imax: The Deep Blue boxset has it covered. With three documentaries over the three DVDs, the audience is treated to an in depth look at whales, sharks and the Great Barrier Reef.

In the first program, Whales: An Unforgettable Journey, you experience breathtaking close up encounters with the largest mammal that ever lived on the Earth – the blue whale. You follow humpbacks, orcas, right whales and dolphins for a stunning new perspective on these mysterious marine mammoths.

The second program, Search for Great Sharks, allows you to take a round-the-globe expedition and witness sharks at close range. From the coast of California to the remote reaches of Southern and Western Australia, this film pursues blue sharks, whale sharks and the most notorious of all, the great white.

The final program, the Great Barrier Reef, explores our nation’s 1200-mile natural phenomenon. It looks at the aquatic environment with sharks, sea plants and nearly 10 000 species, all engaged in the harsh reality of an ‘eat or be eaten’ existence.
