Methods of Chinese torture date back to the Yu and Sung Dynasties. One of the most renowned cases involves a young innocent peasant girl (former Miss Asia Pacific Yvonne Yung Hung) who is taken in by a friendly scholar as a chambermaid. However, his jelous wife gets other ideas, and the young maid is pushed into the arms of the philandering magistrate's son. When he commits murder, she is framed and by torturous punishments is forced to confess her sins to his father, the corrupt magistrate.
