    Released in Region 1 and Region 2 as Rain Man: SE, there are a number of differences between the Region 1 and Region 4 releases.

    Region 4 misses out on:

  • French Dolby Digital 2.0 audio 
  • Spanish Dolby Digital 2.0 audio
  • French and Spanish subtitles
  • Trailers for Bandits and Dances With Wolves.

    Region 1 misses out on:

  • Hungarian Dolby Digital 2.0 audio
  • Czech, Croatian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovenian and Swedish subtitles
  • The Journey Of Rain Man featurette
  • Lifting The Fog: A Look At The Mysteries of Autism featurette

   The extra featurettes make Region 4 the clear winner here, unless you really need French or Spanish audio. The Region 4 Gold Edition appears to be identical to the UK Region 2 SE release.
