Showgirls is available in Region 1 with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and a better quality of video transfer. The only catch is that it is presented in an expensive boxed set that is only going to appeal to extreme fans of Paul Verhoeven. Nonetheless, the local version is a loser and should be avoided.
