The Region 4 version misses out on:
English, Spanish and French subtitles
Full frame (pan & scan) transfer
The Region 1 version misses out on:
Proper 1.85:1 aspect ratio transfer
Given the local affordability and the option of having this film in its original aspect ratio, this would have to lead you to the fact that the Region 4 version comes out ahead of the Region 1 version.
