    The Region 1 version of this disc misses out on:
  • original ending
    Both discs appear to have excellent video and audio quality, so you win with either. The DVD-ROM extras sound quite impressive. If you use a PC to view your DVDs, you might consider the R1 disc. Otherwise, I'd choose the R4, for the PAL transfer and the original ending.
