    The Region 1 edition misses out on the trailer found on the Region 4 edition, but includes a number of more worthwhile extras. Specifically, Region 4 misses:

  • The Voices Behind About a Son: 13 minute making-of interviews with director AJ Schnack, producer Michael Azerrad and other members of the crew.
  • Audio Commentary: only 17 minutes of commentary on selected scenes, however.
  • Footage Comparisons: A brief comparison between untreated, raw footage of locations taken while scouting for the film to the finished product.
