This film was released in Region 1 late in 2002. For the most part we get the same package afforded our Region 1 cousins, however, there are a couple of differences. The Region 4 version misses out on: - DVD-ROM content including screenplay, Agent Shaver's GTO manual, and web links.

The Region 4 version does not miss out on: - The 11th deleted scene. The Region 1 cover promises 11 deleted scenes, but there are only 10 available, as we have on the Region 4 disc.

Despite the fact that we lose out on the GTO featurette, the DVD-ROM content and a couple of different trailers, overall I believe that we get an almost equal package and in terms of affordability and availability I believe that we in Region 4 will get decent value. I'd consider the Region 1 disc only if I found it available for the same price as the Region 4 disc. Also bear in mind that the Region 1 disc is Region Code Enhanced (RCE). Still, you won't get much more for your dollar and you'll miss out on the PAL transfer, which is surely worth something.
