    These Kimba DVDs are taken from the 1993 re-dubbed version. The R1 Kimba DVDs are taken from the 1966 (original) dubbed version. The R1 DVDs are transferred from faded films with no restoration effort. The R4 DVDs (actually, they're R0) appear to be transferred from VCDs. Actually, the R4 DVDs are more watchable than the R1 DVDs, but no one who is used to the 1966 soundtrack likes the newer soundtrack on the R4 DVDs.
