Again our comparison is a little difficult. R1 does not get a box set but five sets of two discs each. From what I can glean about these sets, the differences between R1 and R4 are as follows: The R1 version of these discs miss out on: - Commentary: Eat Me: Guy Gross (composer)
- Commentary: Revenging Angel: Athol Henry (Art Director), Pablo De La Torre (Animation Designer), Rodney Whitham (Producer).
- Commentary: The Choice: Rowan Woods (Director), Justin Monjo (Writer)
- Farscape Cartoon (7:49)
- Farscape Animation Art Gallery.
- Animation In The Making
- Interview with Sean Masterson (Puppeteer)
- StarBurst Game
The R4 version of these discs miss out on: - Behind the Scenes interviews with Claudia Black and Paul Goddard
- Commentary for Wait For the Wheel by Claudia Black
- Behind the Scenes interviews with Anthony Simcoe (D'Argo) and Ben Browder (Crichton)
- Commentary for Green Eyed Monster by Ben Browder (and some crew members)
- Behind the Scenes interviews with Wayne Pygram (Scorpius) and Gigi Edgley (Chiana)
- Commentary for Relativity by Lani Tupu (Crais) and director Peter Andrikidis
- Interview with Farscape composer Guy Gross
- Behind the Scenes interview with Anthony Simcoe (D’Argo)
- Commentary for The Choice by Claudia Black (Aeryn)
- Behind-the-scenes interview with Claudia Black (Aeryn)
- Farscape Season 3: A Look Back, with Executive Producer David Kempner
- updated character histories (spread across all sets)
- Cool Farscape Facts on Aliens Encountered
- Sets, Props, & Costumes Gallery
- Deleted scenes
- Farscape trailers and Previews
As you can see, the extras are completely different between the two regions. On sheer numbers, R1 looks like the winner though I have not seen the R1 extras to accurately judge this.
