As many of you will be aware, it is our policy to allow our reviewers to have their own opinions and to publish those opinions only editing for grammar and to avoid statements which are offensive. It is worth noting that one reviewers opinion may not be shared by all members of the reviewing team. Based on this policy Dean's review of Village Roadshow's release of the original extended edition of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was published and he is absolutely entitled to his opinions as presented in that review.

Having said that, my own personal opinion and that of at least one other member of our reviewing team is that one disc with technical issues should not be extended to mean that all releases of a particular distributor should be boycotted or their quality be in question. Each release should be reviewed on its merits. It is also important to note that Village Roadhsow is a local distributor of many different companies products, often using the technical materials provided by that company. This does not absolve them of responsibility for the technical quality of their releases but does mean that not all their releases are created in the same way, resulting in an even stronger case that generalisations about the quality of their releases is unfair.
