Opinions About Specific Movies and their DVDs

Titanic A magnificent achievement in contemporary filmmaking which remains every bit as exciting, spectacular and affecting as it was when first released.
The Matrix Groundbreaking science fiction, merging unique ideas and philosophical concepts with exhilarating action sequences. One of my all-time favourites.
Terminator 2 An overrated sequel which hasn't aged too gracefully. Arnie makes more sense as a villain, Edward Furlong is irritating, the violence is toned-down, there's plenty of cheese, and the ending feels like a copout.
Star Wars The original unaltered trilogy remains excellent, though Return of the Jedi has its flaws. The prequels are awful.
Godzilla An overlong, lumbering blockbuster that actually manages to be somewhat entertaining. A guilty pleasure.
Independence Day Extremely enjoyable and full of groundbreaking special effects. It's a true summer event film.
