Borderline (1950)
Ray N

Cover Art Fred MacMurray, Claire Trevor and Raymond Burr star in the 1950 film Borderline; two US undercover agents, neither knowing that the other is an agent, try to bring down gangs bringing drugs from Mexico into the US. When the two agents fall in love, things get even more complicated. . Sponsored by Atomic Movies.

Ninjas vs. Monsters (2012)
Ray N

The premise of Ninjas vs. Monsters is a blast: Dracula, Frankenstein, the Werewolf, the Mummy and witches fight ninjas for the survival of the Earth. Or something. Plot takes a back seat to in-jokes and puns, pop culture references and fights in this over the top but very entertaining low budget film. . Sponsored by Atlantic DVD.

Logan Lucky (Blu-ray) (2017)
CallumK

It's exciting to see director Steven Soderbergh back in action after a four-year hiatus, and he happily resurrects his typical filmmaking sensibilities for the insanely entertaining and slickly-made Logan Lucky. News about the Blu-ray, on the other hand, is mixed. While the video transfer is very good, the lack of a 4K Blu-ray alternative is disheartening, while the audio is downgraded to a 5.1 mix and there are absolutely no extras. This disc is only worth buying at sale price. . Sponsored by Atlantic DVD.

Your Name (Kimi no na wa) (Blu-ray) (2016)
Ray N

Your Name, the latest anime from writer / director Makoto Shinkai, is the highest grossing anime worldwide. It is a beautiful film in all senses; visually stunning, it is a thoughtful, reflective, film with universal themes, humour and good characters. Fans of quality anime or writer / director Makoto Shinkai will not be disappointed but even people not into anime should give Your Name a look. . Sponsored by Family Boxoffice.

Batman and Harley Quinn (Blu-ray) (2017)
CallumK

I can't really recommend Batman and Harley Quinn, which should be a lot better than it is. The humour is awkward, and it lacks the maturity of Batman: The Animated Series. It may be entertaining to a certain extent, but it has zero staying power. As for the Blu-ray, it's reasonable but not above-average. The typically compressed video presentation actually is very good, and the audio is about as solid as can be expected. However, the special features are a major letdown. This is a rental at best. . Dragon Blade (Tian jiang xiong shi) (Blu-ray) (2015)
Ray N

Dragon Blade, starring Jackie Chan, John Cusack and Adrien Brody, is an expansive historical epic action adventure that blends humour, pathos, unexpected deaths and frenetic and bloody action as Roman legionnaires and Chinese tribes come into conflict along the Silk Road around 50 BC. .
