Accident Man (Blu-ray) (2018)
One of the better and more flavoursome direct-to-video action movies in some time, Accident Man should satisfy its niche audience of old-school action enthusiasts. It's funny, action-packed, and well-made despite its meagre budget. Universal Sony's Blu-ray, meanwhile, is a winner for the most part. The technical presentation is excellent, with top-notch video and beautifully crisp audio. Although the special features are in short supply, this disc nevertheless comes recommended.

Independence Day: Resurgence (Blu-ray) (2016)
Director Roland Emmerichís Independence Day was big, loud, jingoistic and dumb, but it did destroy the White House, made a mint and had Will Smith. Now comes Emmerichís sequel Independence Day: Resurgence, which is bigger, louder, dumber and just as jingoistic, but without Will Smith. Is it worth watching to see the world saved again?

Dish, The (Remastered Blu-ray) (2000)
The Dish is a true gem. It remains a superb Australian movie bolstered by witty writing and great actors. Anybody who likes The Castle will sure to find value in this one. Fans of the movie can rejoice, for we finally have a proper Blu-ray release on our hands, and it's a real keeper. Making use of a full remaster, the movie looks and sounds better than ever, while there is a nice supply of special features. In short, this is the release I've been hoping for. (And what we should have gotten in the first place.) Rush out and buy this one if you like the movie!

Silver Bullet (Blu-ray) (1985)
An effective and enjoyable Stephen King adaptation, Silver Bullet deserves its minor cult status. Fans can rejoice, for this is the Blu-ray that you've been waiting for. While not flawless, the Blu-ray presentation is perfectly adequate despite noticeable compression. Nevertheless, Umbrella have really stepped up their game in terms of special features, commissioning a brand new selection of interviews and commentaries, on top of compiling archival material. It's just about everything that a Silver Bullet fan could want (short of a Gary Busey interview), making this an easy recommendation.

Doctor Who-Shada (Blu-ray) (1979)
This set contains a serial from Doctor Who which was never completed in 1979 due to strike action. It has been pieced together from the original footage, new animations, new effects plus a new scene shot in 2017. Certainly worth seeing for fans of the series and owning for completists, however, it is not the greatest Doctor Who adventure ever shot. As a Blu-ray set though it is excellent.
