She-Wolf of London (Blu-ray) (1946)
Ray N

Made by Universal in 1946, She-Wolf of London has no connection with the Lon Chaney Jr Wolf Man films. It is not a particularly good film but has its moments as a mystery and it is worth watching a young June Lockhart in pre-Lassie TV days! . Sponsored by Atlantic DVD.

Zookeeper's Wife, The (Blu-ray) (2017)
Ray N

In Nazi occupied Warsaw in WW2 the Polish family who ran the zoo saved over 300 Jews from the Germans, hiding them in their house at the zoo under the noses of the Germans until they could be moved to another safe house. Based on a true story, The Zookeeper’s Wife, starring a wonderful Jessica Chastain, is an impressive film that does not overdo the horror of the events but is a personal story of hope, courage and survival that is both more uplifting and less bleak than most films about the holocaust. . One Last Heist (aka The Hatton Garden Job) (Blu-ray) (2017)
Ray N

One Last Heist is based upon an actual vault robbery, the largest heist in British history, that occurred at Easter 2015 at Hatton Garden, London, hence the films alternate title The Hatton Garden Job. One Last Heist brings nothing new to the crime genre but it is entertaining, slickly made and well-acted by its veteran cast. . Sponsored by Atomic Movies.

Werewolf of London (Blu-ray) (1935)
Ray N

Six years before The Wolf Man made Lon Chaney Jr a star and launched another Universal monster series, The Werewolf of London was made by Universal as the first sound werewolf picture. The film meanders a bit, is silly in places, not overly scary and the monster make-up could be better but as the first werewolf picture in sound it is a curiosity that is worth a look for fans. . Sponsored by DeVoteD.
