The transfer for the main feature is presented at an aspect ratio of 1.33:1.
The transfer is quite soft throughout and while never disruptive it at no time reveals the level of detail that should be present in a recent production. During the dark segments of the transfer a disappointing level of shadow is displayed. No low-level noise was detected at any time during the transfer.
The colour palette displayed during the transfer contains a large amount of reds, browns and greys, giving the image an overall warm feel.
A number of minor MPEG compression artefacts may be seen during the transfer. Some examples of these artefacts may be seen at 1:30, 4:55, 6:06 and 7:54. A small amount of posterization may also be seen at 23:19. All of these artefacts are very minor and are only minimally distracting.
A small number of aliasing artefacts may be seen throughout the transfer. Examples of this aliasing may be seen at 1:19, 1:37, 4:51, 5:31 and 5:54. All of these artefacts are only slightly disruptive due to their short duration.
As this production was shot on video, the only film artefact detected during the transfer was at 5:58 during footage from a music video. Two analogue tape errors may be seen at 14:33 and 20:07 which are minimally disturbing.
Unfortunately, no subtitles are provided for the dialogue or lyrics during the transfer.
The main feature is placed on a single layer and consequently the layer change is not detectable by the viewer.
