Plot Synopsis

Claudia Schiffer was one of the most famous supermodels of the 1990's and this workout series was released originally released in 1996 when Claudia would have been at the height of her popularity.

This workout series has two separately sold discs; Perfectly Fit: Lower Body and Perfectly Fit: Upper Body.

This disc has the workout divided into 2 main sections Legs & Buns. Each workout lasts for just under 30 minutes and has its own warm up and cool down sessions. The workouts have been filmed in various locations with Claudia providing voice over instructions and encouragement.

I'm in reasonable shape but found the workouts to be fairly taxing. My legs were screaming by the end of that workout, but at least I had spent 40 minutes being able to admire Ms Schiffer.

Video

The video is displayed in 1.29:1.

The video is not pretty. This would have been shot on video 13-14 years ago and as such has a lot of video related artefacts.

The colour is ok when it's supposed to be but because of various video effects most of the time its in grainy black and white.

Aliasing is a serious problem - see Claudia's striped top for annoying shimmer.

Colour bleed is also constant throughout.

Edge enhancement is also seen.

Audio

The audio is a competent but ordinary Dolby Digital 2.0 track.

Claudia's dialogue comes through clearly.

The music track is probably a little muted than what you'd expect for a workout video. It sounds fine and never drowns out the voiceover.

There are no synch or click/pop issues.

R4 vs R1

NOTE: To view non-R4 releases, your equipment needs to be multi-zone compatible and usually also NTSC compatible.

Seem the same so call it a tie.

Summary

Overall, it's typical workout DVD fare.

The video is very ordinary - it looks like its playing direct from VHS not DVD.

The audio is fine.
