This was the longest 87 minutes of my viewing life. This movie was without doubt total rubbish. It is a thinly veiled attempt to conceal a young girl's lesbian discovery trip within a spoof of Charlie's Angels.
If I had to find a way to describe this pathetic excuse for a movie it would have to be; villain sees girl, villain wants girl, villain gets girl, villain loses girl, villain does anything to get girl back, villain gets girl again. The only twist is that the villain is also a girl.
The acting is absolutely terrible. In fact, the only saving grace for this movie is that you get to look at lots of pretty young girls in school uniforms. Let's just say that personally it was not my cup of tea.
Is it me or do Sony Pictures really have their act together when it comes to mastering DVDs? I have noticed a definite trend with their DVDs in that they are consistently of very high quality, both in their video and their audio transfers.
This movie is presented in an aspect ratio of 2.35:1 and is 16x9 enhanced.
This video transfer is of very high quality. The shadow detail is good, and there is no hint of graininess. I did notice one small piece of aliasing, but nothing to be concerned with.
Colours are vibrant without any colour bleeding.
There are no MPEG compression artefacts noticeable, and no film artefacts present either.
The layer change is cleverly disguised at 50:59 when the picture fades to black and comes back into another scene.
There are a number of subtitle options to choose from, however as I am only conversant with English I only sampled the English subtitles. I found them to be very true to the spoken word.

This is another fine audio transfer from Sony Pictures.
The dialogue was crisp and clear, with no hint of any clicks or pops and no evidence of any lip sync issues.
The music soundtrack for this movie will most likely appear as a soundtrack CD in the near future. It is loaded with songs from some of the currently fashionable groups. It is quite a lively soundtrack but it does not always suit the moment - I sometimes wonder with these kinds of movies if it is the soundtrack supporting the on-screen action or vice versa.
There is an appropriate amount of surround channel usage.
The subwoofer is used effectively throughout the movie.

The main menu is non animated and consists of a still image of the four main actors with selections for; Play, Audio Setup, Subtitles, Scene Selections, Special Features, and Trailers along the bottom of the menu page. The main menu is presented in 16x9 format.
The main menu is underscored with a portion of the D.E.B.S. theme music which is played in an endless loop.
This is exactly what it says it is. I only listened briefly to this.
This was just tedious to listen to. If you ever want to listen to a group of young girls jabbering on about nothing then turn this on - I am sure you will not stand more than a few minutes of it before turning it off.
This basically tells the story of how the movie came about. It consists mainly of the director Angela Robinson explaining the steps and processes she went through to make the final product.
There are 5 supposedly deleted scenes but to be honest with you I only saw 2 that were not in the actual movie. I will leave it up to you to decide if the movie was lacking anything by leaving these scenes out.
This is an animatic of D.E.B.S. - basically an outline of the SAT tests to select the D.E.B.S. candidates.
This consists of still photos of the main characters in the movie. These were obviously lifted from the film stock.
This features Angela Robinson's original comic work for the D.E.B.S. idea.
Three trailers for the following movies; Hitch, Spanglish, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
NOTE: To view non-R4 releases, your equipment needs to be multi-zone compatible and usually also NTSC compatible.
I have not seen the R1 version of this film, and am never likely to, so I cannot give a recommendation as to which version is the better. Leaving the plot (or lack thereof) out of the equation, then I would think that the PAL R4 version is probably going to be the superior video transfer.
The one thing that the R4 version does miss out on is a music video in the extras department which is the music video clip for The Weekend's Into the Morning.
This is a very forgettable movie with no real plot and bad acting, all of which is given a great video and audio transfer. Go figure.
